The Level 3 Certificate in Administration of Emergency Medical Gases course had been designed with workers in pre-hospital emergency care in mind. It is aimed at those individuals who are required to administer medical gases as part of their day-to-day responsibilities. This could be in NHS Trusts, private health care establishments, private ambulance firms, or even the police force or the fire service.
Our Level 3 Certificate in Administration of Emergency Medical Gases is a half-day course. Delegates will discuss and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to administer emergency medical gases (namely oxygen and analgesic agents) safely, promptly and effectively. They will learn to conduct pre-operational inspections as well as how to monitor and record the effect of the gases.
This course is assessed by the completion of a learner workbook throughout the duration of the course, finished by a practical assessment. This dual-assessment process allows the delegates to reflect upon what they have learned during the course, while also demonstrating they have the practical skills the qualification requires
